Ausgabe 2, Nummer 2 dieses englischsprachigen Open-Access-Journals widmet sich Grundlagen und Potentialen von Musikvermittlung im Jazz: https://ijmm.world/ijmm/issue/view/3.
Die Publikation schließt an die Fachtagung „Wege zum Jazz“ an, die im April 2024 an der GMPU stattgefunden hat. Sie enthält Beiträge von: Ilka Siedenburg, Julian Schunter, Martin Krechlak, Philip Arneill, Benjamin Holzapfel, Hans-Georg Spiegel, Charles MacInnes, Ulrike Schwarz, Katharina Osztovic, Jonas Brinckmann und Judith McGregor.
„[The issue] turns the spotlight on the foundations of a jazz-oriented music mediation, documenting and considering a variety of pioneering current music mediation projects in the field of jazz. These projects are supported by a wide range of protagonists and take place in diverse settings: major concert halls, small jazz bars, schools, and universities. The first two articles transpose key aspects of the general discourse on music mediation to the field of jazz and discuss their potential implications for this domain.“ (Schunter et al., 2025)
