It is with great pleasure to announce to you the 13th International Telemann Competition for period string instruments and chamber music ensembles. The competition will take place in Magdeburg from March 21 to 30, 2025. We invite musicians between the ages of 18 and 34 who are committed to the historically informed musical practice.
Participants can look forward to an inspiring repertoire, a stage training and an excellent jury including Barthold Kuijken, Mechthild Karkow, Enrico Gatti, Mime Brinkmann, Arnie Tanimoto and additionally for chamber music ensembles Alfredo Bernardini, Dorothee Oberlinger, and Nicholas Parle. Beyond that, competition laureates will receive awards worth a total of EUR 15,500 in the respective categories as well as concert engagements.
