Antrittsvorlesung: Meta+phenomenology

Meta+phenomenology is a digital phenomenology predicated on two fundamental connections between phenom ‐
enology and epistemology: that formal knowledge systems emerge primarily through experiential learning, and that
the study of experience through the lens of computation reveals intrinsic limits of knowledge production. The
development of meta+phenomenology was motivated by a set of definitions and conjectures about subjectivity first
proposed by Michael Winter, a musician and sound artist, and then formalized in collaboration with Felipe Abrahão,
a mathematician that specializes on the limits of computation.
