Mark So and Manfred Werder have been working together intensively for 20 years. Their collaboration unfolds through long-term writing projects emerging from a practice that reflects the fragmented everyday. There is nothing but inscription — into the earth and bodies, papers and tapes — among the earliest techniques within the cosmologically impenetrable field of cultural history. So and Werder perform with voices, portable tape recorders and typewriters, paper and notebooks — traces, evidences and objects. Students are invited to learn about, engage with, and perform their work. The workshop will culminate in a concert at Villa for Forest on the evening of the workshop.
