SUMMARY:Music in Motion - exploring creativity through sound and movement
DESCRIPTION:The Gustav Mahler Privatuniversität für Musik (GMPU) warmly invites students to participate in the Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) “music in motion”\,\ntaking place from 19–23 October 2026 in Klagenfurt. \nThis international project focuses on elementary musicmaking and movement\, highlighting the connecting power of music. The programme combines online preparation sessions\nwith an intensive on‑site week. \nThe content includes practical insights into different teaching settings such as early childhood music education\, intergenerational formats\, and inclusive group work. \nArtistically\, participants will explore voice\, body\, instruments\, improvisation\, rhythm\, dance\, and interaction. \nThe programme also encourages reflection on pedagogical approaches and offers opportunities to observe and experience children’s music theatre in practice. Participants will gain practical experience in artistic and pedagogical approaches\, expand their intercultural competences\, and become part of an inspiring international network. 3 ECTS credits will be awarded. \nWe look forward to welcoming motivated students from across Europe! \nKontakt: international@gmpu.ac.at & patricia.gallob@gmpu.ac.at
